14th March 2011

Its all about the tsunami, and so it should be.  I am so affected by this kind  of news, I've been in a sad mood since it happened.  This is partially due to my love of Japan and all that is Japanese. Anyway back to local happenings, as the news is mostly Japanese I'm going to look at a smaller story about the two guys who stole electricity vouchers.

Elecrity thieves have their property seized

Two men convicted of stealing electricity R8.9 million have had their property seized by the Gauteng Asset Forfeiture Unit.
Last month, Andelie Mngadi and Martin Ndebele were found guilty of 78 285 counts of theft and two of racketeering.
Over three years, Mngadi and Ndebele stole Eskom pre-paid electricity voucher dispensers and sold illegal electricity vouchers to residents, the court found they will be sentenced in the Johannesburg High Court this week.
