Hristo Bukov spent last weekend in jail after allegedly posting graphic pictures of his ex-girlfriend on the internet, along with adverts for luxury properties in Cape Town.
Not only was he arrested for rubbishing Debbie Perkins's reputation, but he also unwittingly lifted the veil on shenanigans in the lucrative Cape property world. "I was subjected to cyber-stalking, stalking and threats to my life," said the 43-year-old brunette.
Perkins worked as a receptionist at Anne Porter Properties in Hout Bay for 18 months before taking a position at Lola Kramer Realty. The companies sell and rent designer homes to local and foreign buyers.
Bukov allegedly terrorised Perkins with e-mails and raunchy photos on "for sale" signs outside posh homes, and two weeks ago posted vulgar comments about her on Facebook.
He also allegedly created a fake property website, depicting Perkins as a promiscuous estate agent, by digitally manipulating images of naked women so they resembled her.
A Facebook page - which Perkins believes Bukov created out of spite - falsely depicts her as a semi-sweet wine-swigging nymphomaniac, with "jolling in pubs" listed as her favoured activity.
The page is peppered with expletives, doctored images and comments about her employers.
One post read: "I remember Woodcutter's Close in Hout Bay! Then I worked for Anne Porter Real Estates! I had a showhouse that Sunday, and my boyfriend then, Chris, came to the house and we ... on the couch ... kitchen ... and the main bedroom."
