That wasn't me writing last night and it's not me this evening either. Warmbaths is full of hot pools, slippery slides, bucking broncos, go carting and lots of warm sunshine. I didn't know it was never too late to wed, but this story just shows you...

It’s never too late to wed

An 89-year-old woman has finally married the father of her 12 children – 19 years after he died.

Three of Gogo Nana Mbuyane’s children paid lobola to her family in Phakane Trust outside Mbombela in Mpumalanga last weekend.

“We gave them money equivalent to the value of 12 cows.

“They welcomed it with warm hearts and performed the traditional wedding,” said Mbuyane’s daughter, Esther Nkambule, 63.

“After that, we returned home where we had a braai. People ululated in joy.”

“Our dad, Jim Nkambule, died long ago, so we decided to do what he could not do because of financial problems.

We spent more than R10 000 to give our beloved mother a wedding before she leaves us as well,” said Mbuyane’s other daughter, Sellina Nkambule, 42.

Her parents had had 12 children, but only three of them, including her brother, Christopher, 55, were still alive.
