16th May 2011

Cold, cold, cold and wet wet wet...might as well be in the U.K.  Otherwise all good, masterchef australia and a cup of tea, putting off the dishes and tidying up.Yawn..oh when did my life become so riveting.  It sounds maybe like I'm unhappy, but I'm not.  In fact this morning I was thinking how interesting it is when one makes a conscious choice to change ones path.  Its exciting and although can be a rollercoaster ride, all you can do is hang on and enjoy the ride, and thats where I'm at. Ok never proffesed to be a writer, so thank you to anyone who labours through my ramblings...best get onto todays story.  Elections are coming, so thought I should do one story pre-election.

Parties pull no punches for votes

Scare tactics, name calling and a raw display of support marked the final electioneering day before the country's third local and perhaps, most intensely contested polls on Wednesday.
The ANC and DA exposed each other's weaknesses as the ruling party showed electoral force by filling FNB stadium with 90,000 supporters at its Siyanqoba ("we will win") rally.

  1. And 702 callers reported this morning that someone at the FNB stadium yesterday had thrown R100 notes into the audience; some persons felt they were not being respected by this 'callous' act.
