Am so stuffed, can't move, Paris made mince rotis and the most divine dessert, a caramel baked custard, awesome, we were expecting someone for dinner and they let us down last minute, still it just means I got to eat three portions of the nicest thing I've eaten in ages!! Well done Paris, think shes going to be a patisserie chef. Yay!! Can't get the bold button to work, this is too bold...
SPCA takes on horse-racing
“The council opposes animal racing in any form,” said Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals spokeswoman Celeste Houseman.
“The council opposes any practices that cause unnecessary suffering to equines...during training or during the actual event.”
A horse was put down after breaking its front leg at the Durban July race in Greyville on Saturday.
“This is a classic example of why the SPCA movement takes the stance of opposing racing with animals,” said Houseman.
“The tragedy is that a horse was injured to the extent that it had to be killed.” -
