More than 6 000 unroadworthy vehicles scrapped
Over 6 000 unroadworthy public transport and freight vehicles were scrapped from service in October, the Road Traffic Management Corporation said today.
More than 1 800 of these were from Mpumalanga, spokesperson Ashref Ismail said in a statement.
The vehicles included buses, minibuses and trucks. More than 46 000 fines were issued to public transport and freight drivers during the same month, said Ismail.
